Founded in 2000, Phocos is a leading manufacturer of solar-powered charge controllers and components for autonomous power supply. These products allow for eco-friendly, efficient use of solar energy. The focus of Phocos is primarily off-grid applications; the company's goal is to make eco-friendly energy available even in remote locations.
Phocos traces its origins back to research done in the mid-1980s at Ulm University of Applied Sciences. Some of the researchers then founded Phocos AG. Today, Phocos maintains close ties to the university.
